Know His Story

Chirp came into our recovery centre unable to walk after being run over. He was found by one of our colony feeders and taken for treatment. It was discovered he had a broken pelvis. He also had severe diarrhea, anemia and dehydration. We tried him on so many different foods until we eventually found one that stopped his diarrhoea. He was then able to start beating his other health issues. Since he has recovered from his broken pelvis and was able to walk again we found he also had a problem with one of his back legs. We have had him seen by the trauma specialist who told us its the joint that has been damaged and he walks a little strange. It does seem to be improving day by day but it will need to be monitored and checked over time. Because of this he will not be able to leave the home because it would put him in a dangerous position if he can't escape from a dangerous situation. But he would love a secure garden (that he cant escape from) to lounge about in.

Chirp is a lovely boy, he talks all the time, we thought he sounded like a crow, hence the name chirp.

While in our care, he made friends with Cookie, another cat in our care. Unfortunately, keeping them together long-term has not resulted possible.
