Welcome To Street Paws Recovery And Adoption Centre
We want to raise awareness about stray cats and help improve their conditions. We also want to show how we give stray cats a safe place to recover after surgery, illness, or trauma, and how we try to find them loving homes where they can spend the rest of their lives. Our objective is to educate people on animal care and the work we do with the city council in managing cat colonies, such as the TNR method.

Who We Are
When we moved to Spain in 2017, the idea of opening a cat centre was never in our minds. Then, in October 2023, our beautiful boy, Gingy, came into our lives, a tiny, scruffy baby crying in the rain alone on the streets, and he changed everything. The following June, on a scorching day, Toby was found in the blazing heat, even smaller and younger than Gingy. He was alone and terrified. Later we discovered he is partially blind and surely would have died if we hadn't found him. The following February, Lilith followed us home, a small, skinny girl alone on the streets and pregnant. We could no longer sit idly by. There was an increasing number of cats on our streets, many with health problems or pregnant, all without a safe place to go to recover. It was then that we decided to see what we could do. The recovery centre was what we felt was desperately needed. We formed a group with other people who also wanted to help to start capturing stray cats to sterilize and release them, and our role would be to provide them with a safe place to recover from surgery. At the beginning of our adventure, we were contacted many times about new born babies abandoned in rubbish bins and injured cats that had been attacked by other cats or hit by cars. We couldn't ignore them, so we opened our home and provided them with a safe place to recover and grow. We have done significant renovations in our home to adapt the centre and turn it into a safe and comfortable place for everyone who comes through our doors.
We work closely with several veterinarians, including trauma specialists and neurologists, to ensure that every cat in our care receives the best medical attention.
Our priority is always the well-being of the cats, and we have a fantastic group of people who share our goals.

Our Cats
In our center, we have many cats that would make a perfect addition to any home. Take a look at their stories and learn about their diverse and fun personalities. Most of these cats have spent their lives with us since birth and are more than ready to find their perfect family.

Adoption Process
Here you will find the adoption requirements and the responsibilities that we and the adopters have to fulfill. You will also be able to check an adoption fee.

How To Help
One of the most impactful aids are donations to pay for veterinary bills and food.
You can always apply with us to foster at home if you do not have the possibility to adopt but want to help. This gives the cats the freedom to experience a home environment.

Success Stories
Here you will be able to see touching stories about cats who, thanks to our care, have overcome illnesses, injuries, or difficult situations.

Updates
Here you can see our day to day routines, the care we provide to the cats in our centre, and receive updates about the cats in our care and notable cases.

Street Cats
In this section we will provide information on the laws and procedures that all municipalities and colony feeders in Spain must comply with. This will also provide information on how you can help stray cats and the legal rights they have.
